Hurray!

I finished all the cards, so now back to some more sedate, but more fun Christmas cards. This card was actually inspired by a card that I saw on Pinterest recently. Link HERE. I really liked the idea of using the reverse of the die cut with patterned paper behind it, and I just so happened to be given this particular die very recently, and it was the perfect size. All of my other snowflake dies are pretty small.

Here are the details:
Paper: Neenah - Solar white, unknown patterned paper
Stamps/Inks: Memento - Rhubarb Stalk, SSS - Merry Everything
Cutting/Embossing: Memory Box - Tivoli Snowflake
Misc.: Dimensional adhesive, pearl embellishment

Luckily, after Scrapfest, I stamped and colored a bunch of this particular Northwoods Rubber Stamps stamped image, and with a little dressy background paper, I'm back in business... 20 more cards to go before Saturday!

No time for details - leave me a comment if you want to know what they are!

And some knitting (which was completed before the card crisis)...

Christmas Card Crunch

I just discovered that I am seriously short Christmas cards this year. What happened???
So, I had some previously colored images, and I whipped up some extremely simple cards. Here is a sampling...

Here's my card:

Capturing glitter is hard to do in a photo -- but, in case you're wondering, the hearts, stars on the trees, rooftop on the house, and the edge of the snow are all glittered with stickles. The sky was made by blending distress inks, and the Blizzard mist has a little shine to it, mixed in with the opaque white for snow in the sky.  And, the tree die cut and background paper are green glitter.

Materials
Paper: Neenah - Solar white, misc Bazzill cardstock, glitter paper
Stamps/Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black, TH Distress Inks, DeNami - PF63 Christmas Greetings Stamp Set and G155 Small Winter Cottage
Cutting/Embossing: MFT Snowdrifts DieNamics, SSS - Falling Stars, Memory Box, Memory Box/Poppy Stamps - Pine Tree Border
Misc.: Copic markers, diamond, gold, and Xmas red stickles, red liquid pearls, Mister Huey's Mists - Blizzard and Opaque white, dimensional adhesive, twine from The Twinery, button

Thank you for stopping by - do not forget to comment for a chance to win a gift certificate. You are now off to The Crafty Corgi.

Who doesn't love festive penguins??

Pattern: Baby Owl Gloves
Yarn: Plymouth Encore Worsted
Size: 2T
Needles:  6/4

And, just for fun, some more baby knitting? (Which was why, and you'll have to take my word for it - that I have made multiple cards this week, but just didn't get an opportunity to post until t his morning).

Just for the record, this is probably going to be my new favorite baby hat pattern. It was so quick to knit (approx 1.5 hrs - pom pom took a disproportionate amount of time to the knitting) and turned out so well! Looks like a lot of those photo prop hats that you see in the trendy newborn photo shoots.

My goal is to do a few cards a day until Christmas (or when they all have to be mailed out), starting with stamp sets/dies that I either have used rarely or never used (unless it's for a challenge or specific stamp company)! I've found that I've become a bit of a stamp hoarder... We'll see if I get all the cards done in time for Christmas!
