It's been a little quiet over here, but there has been a flurry of knitting.
But, they're all done. The Turban(d)'s didn't work out this year, but the important things were finished. They aren't the greatest photos, but they were photographed quickly before they were wrapped this morning.

Lots of Knitting and the final Hurrah for (this year) Christmas Cards
Spoilers! (Fortunately, I don't think anyone who will be receiving these gifts actually checks this blog...).
This previous weekend, we had a lot of snow, so on Sunday, I was really productive --- finished (dare I even say it!) my Christmas cards, wrapped most gifts, and finished one of the last two baby sweaters that I have to make for the holidays. If only the sweater I had finished was the bigger of the two!
Holiday countdown --- really loving the turban(d) pattern, so here's the goal:
1. Finish 2 or 3 more Turban(d)s
2. Finish Little Toboggan Sweater size 1-2 years
3. Write all Christmas card notes and mail out
4. Mail out all Christmas/birthday packages this week
Here are some of the fruits of my labors...
Little Toboggan Sweater #1 (size 6-12 mos)
Yarn: Sublime Yarn Baby Cashmerino DK
Needles: Sizes 3 and 6
Turban(d)
Yarn: Encore Mega (cream) - 1 skein
Needles: Size 10.5
Modifications: Cast on 19 (although needed an extra stitch when I did the twist)
And a last minute push on holiday cards -- I made 16 of these. Loved how they turned out!
Materials:
Paper: Misc. Bazzill cardstock, Archivers watercolor paper
Stamps/Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black, Versafine - Onyx Black, Northwoods Rubber Stamps - Holly stamp
Cutting/Embossing: Ranger superfine clear embossing powder
Misc.: Lace and Xmas Red Stickles, Tombow markers

Christmas in a Flurry - Day 1
Day 1 of Christmas in a Flurry!
Topic: One-layer Cards
I was SO disappointed, when I discovered that instead of Judikins Sticky Stuff, I had received in my most recent order the Judikins Opaque White embossing powder - and it definitely does NOT work with Glitter Ritz -- so I was a little limited in what I could do for class today! Side note - the Judikins Opaque White does emboss very nicely, though!
Materials:
Paper: Neenah - Solar White
Stamps/Inks: SSS - O Christmas Tree, Sentiment from Hero Arts, Impress Fresh Ink - Mojito, Delicata gold ink

Hero Arts -- 24 hours of 90 minute Scrambles
Big weekend --- the Hero Arts Flickr group is hosting 24 consecutive hours of 90 minute scrambles, starting at 6:30 PM on November 16th and ending at 6:30 PM on November 17th. I've decided to play along for a few and will be updating this post periodically to reflect any of the challenges I participate in. How does it work? Here's my take on the challenge:
These are some stamps that were purchased during ScrapFest, but I hadn't inked up before! And, I used some embossing powder that's probably at least 15 years old, that I just recently rediscovered in my stash. It may be hard to tell from this photo, but the crystal embossing powder is kind of holographic in sparkle and is embossed on top of the vellum.
