A long weekend and some catch up for the finale of Summer Card Camp!

A photo of the highlight of our trip, first...

Dan is a pretty good sport. I should have gotten a photo of him at the other fantastic place we visited (Creations Galore in Green Bay)... in his words, "That was my favorite crafting store, ever." They had a TV and a chair set up in a special area in their store... just for him.

So, now the catch up from the final days of Summer Card Camp 2...

Summer Card Camp 2: Week 3 Day 1

We're on our last week of Summer Card Camp 2.

A couple of really neat techniques today (and of course new sketches and a new color combination)...

1. Sketch/One Layer Banners

I didn't really have anything that would work for the rotated stamping, and I tried it with limited success using Belinda's Borders - mostly just added a little interest to the stamped background on the star.

Paper: Watercolor paper, misc. Bazzill cardstock
Stamps/Inks: Versafine - Vintage Sepia, TH Distress Inks - Salty Ocean, Tumbled Glass, Brushed Corduroy, Dusty Concord, and Shaded Lilac, Fresh Ink - Birch, Colorbox - Frost White, Paper Smooches - Streamers and Sentiment Sampler; Lawn Fawn - Belinda's Borders

Misc.: Dimensional adhesive, Rock Candy Stickles, May Arts twine

Hero Arts 90 Minute Scramble

Hero Arts 90 Minute Scramble time!

Your All-Star challenge will be a --- TRIPLE PLAY OF TRENDS ---

1. Create a project with a PHOTO FRAME (a “polaroid”) to capture the highlights.

If you have a photo frame stamp, die, or punch, please feel free to use it. If you don’t have one though, creating a frame is as simple as cutting a square with a punch, die or craft knife and then trimming a rectangle frame around the square window. Or simpler yet, is to mount a square onto a rectangle mat. Other ideas might include masking a square area or using a square stamp before trimming to include a frame. You could even draw a frame with a marker and a straight edge. Feel free to include more than one frame in your design.

2. SLANT at least one element on your project.

In other words, tip, spin, or rotate some or all of your design so that it “slides” across your project on an angle.

3. And finally, embellish your project with at least one METALLIC element.

Think gold or silver, like a championship trophy. Metallic elements might include embossing powder, ink, Perfect Pearls, glitter, sequins, brads, eyelets, ribbon, buttons, staples, paper clips, foil, etc. Feel free to include more than one metallic element on your project.

Here's mine...

Materials
Paper: Neenah - Solar white
Stamps/Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black and Cottage Ivy, TH Distress Ink - Antique Linen and Black Soot, HA Shadow ink - Soft Granite, Hero Arts - CL662 - New Baby , Lawn Fawn - Say Cheese
Misc.: Copic markers, prismacolor pencils and gamsol, memento marker, metallic brad, Zig wink of stella clear glitter brush, ribbon from Michael's, dimensional adhesive

And, yet another puerperium...
