Hero Arts 90 Minute Scramble
Hero Arts 90 Minute Scramble time!
Your All-Star challenge will be a --- TRIPLE PLAY OF TRENDS ---
1. Create a project with a PHOTO FRAME (a “polaroid”) to capture the highlights.
If you have a photo frame stamp, die, or punch, please feel free to use it. If you don’t have one though, creating a frame is as simple as cutting a square with a punch, die or craft knife and then trimming a rectangle frame around the square window. Or simpler yet, is to mount a square onto a rectangle mat. Other ideas might include masking a square area or using a square stamp before trimming to include a frame. You could even draw a frame with a marker and a straight edge. Feel free to include more than one frame in your design.
2. SLANT at least one element on your project.
In other words, tip, spin, or rotate some or all of your design so that it “slides” across your project on an angle.
3. And finally, embellish your project with at least one METALLIC element.
Think gold or silver, like a championship trophy. Metallic elements might include embossing powder, ink, Perfect Pearls, glitter, sequins, brads, eyelets, ribbon, buttons, staples, paper clips, foil, etc. Feel free to include more than one metallic element on your project.
Here's mine...
Materials
Paper: Neenah - Solar white
Stamps/Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black and Cottage Ivy, TH Distress Ink - Antique Linen and Black Soot, HA Shadow ink - Soft Granite, Hero Arts - CL662 - New Baby , Lawn Fawn - Say Cheese
Misc.: Copic markers, prismacolor pencils and gamsol, memento marker, metallic brad, Zig wink of stella clear glitter brush, ribbon from Michael's, dimensional adhesive
And, yet another puerperium...

Hero Arts - 90 Minute Scramble
I came up with two cards this afternoon for the Hero Arts 90 minute scramble. Not bad, considering I had a bit of late start, and the craft room is a DISASTER. We are having water issues with an upstairs bathroom that has leaked through the ceiling of my craft space, so all my organizing last weekend was for nothing, as everything has had to be crammed into one side away from the rather large hole in the ceiling. Positive end to this story - we are having the upstairs bathroom redone. A little sooner than anticipated, but it will be much nicer than it was before.
Back to the scramble - the challenge was to create a card in the colors of your country's flag, photograph it, and upload it to Flickr within 90 minutes.
Here are my two cards:
Side note on the lower card -- Tim Holtz Distress Paints are FANTASTIC. I see so many different applications for using them, other than cards. They go on smoothly, and I love that they are so easy to apply with the dauber tip. I hope they come out with a Peacock Feathers shade!
Materials:
Paper: Misc. Bazzill cardstock, Neenah - Solar White
Stamps/Inks: HA shadow ink midtones - cornflower and red royal, Memento - Rhubarb Stalk, Paris Dusk; Hero Arts - Large Lots Background, Everyday Sayings, Large Solid Flower, Small Solid Flower, Many Birthday Messages
Misc.: TH Distress Paint - Tumbled Glass and Chipped Sapphire, enamel dots, dimensional adhesive, Wink of Stella Clear glitter brush

Hero Arts -- 24 hours of 90 minute Scrambles
Big weekend --- the Hero Arts Flickr group is hosting 24 consecutive hours of 90 minute scrambles, starting at 6:30 PM on November 16th and ending at 6:30 PM on November 17th. Every two hours, starting at 6:30 PM on November 16 CST, there will be a challenge posted, and participants have 90 minutes to create a card (using a Hero Arts stamp), following whatever the challenge rules are, and upload it to flickr. Hero Arts August Scramble
I had so much fun last time, I decided to participate again in Hero Art's 90 minute scramble.
This was the challenge - hosted by Emily Leiphart:
Today’s challenge involves creative sentiments and you have a few options!
(1) mix and match two or more different sentiments to create a new one
(2) use part of an existing sentiment
(3) use an alphabet set to create your own sentiment
And, here's how the scramble works:
You have 90 minutes to make a card and upload it to your photostream. Tag it with 'quickcard45'
Please use at least one Hero Arts Stamp
Please add the picture of your card to the flickr thread - here's how: copy the URL of the card in your Flickr photostream and paste it between the square brackets [URL of your card here].
Add it to the Hero Arts group so everyone can see it.
Here's my card... created, photographed, and posted within 90 minutes to the Hero Arts flickr group.
Materials:
Paper: Neenah - Solar White, misc. Bazzill cardstock
