Day 5: His and Hers Holiday Cards

It's winding down, but here's Day 5: His and Hers Holiday Cards

Here are mine:

I think it's truly difficult to have a "masculine" card, so I'm going to do a more basic and more "frilly" version. How about that?
Side note: I now really feel like I "need" embossing paste and that snowfall stencil... so beautiful in today's class. :)

Materials:
Paper: Neenah - Solar white, misc. Bazzill cardstock, Doodlebug Design 6x6 North Pole
Stamps/Inks: Versafine - Onyx Black, HA Shadow Inks - Cornflower and Red Royal, WaltzingMouse - Ornaments 201, SSS - Merry Everything and Small Folded Banners Holiday, Versamark Ink
Cutting/Embossing: Spellbinder's Nestabilities - Ornaments 2011, SSS - Small Folded Banner, Ranger superfine silver embossing powder, Stampin' Up/Sizzix - edgelit/framelit, Judikins Opaque white embossing powder
Misc.: Dimensional Adhesive, twine from The Twinery

Holiday Card Workshop 2013 - Day 1 continued...Creative Insides for Holiday Cards

Day 1 actually had a few different techniques, all focusing on interesting things to do with the inside of a card. Yesterday was one of the four, so I decided to try a couple of the others today...

Unique Fold

Honestly, I tried using a pretty HA background stamp on two other attempts, and it was too messy, and I was too impatient, so I decided to just stamp a bunch of snowflakes to create my own background. Much cleaner. Much easier. The snowman card used the Colorbox white - goopy. I actually liked the Fresh Ink a lot better (and it's hard to tell that it's gray on the green background)!
