Online Card Class - Holiday Card Class 2014

Days 5 and 6... moving along!!!

Day 5: Tags (I always need more tags!). I also combined it with a coloring technique from Day 6. And I decided to place this tag on a card.



Materials

Stamps/Inks: Versmark, Memory Box - Poinsettia Bloom, Mama Elephant - Season's Greetings, Versafine - Onyx Black
Cutting/Embossing/Stencil: Zing - Opaque white embossing powder, PTI - tag sale #3 die, ranger superfine clear embossing powder
Misc.: Prismacolor pencils, Zig wink of stella clear glitter brush, stickles, Wendy Vecchi white embossing paste, Tim Holtz tinsel, Neat and Tangled sequins, dimensional adhesive


Day 6 (Bonus Day): Coloring!



I was so excited to see a video by Sandy Allnock - she does outstanding copic coloring, and I was fired up to try her new background technique.

Mittens, mittens, and more mittens

Just finished a very large project of knitted mittens - 8 pairs - ranging in size from men's M to child's M. My sister actually did two of the pairs to help me out - the pink and the unpictured red. Variety of colors, hand-picked for each recipient. I made matching tags to go with each pair. The pattern is actually a mix of two different patterns that I adapted for multiple sizes, but the majority of the pattern is: Easy Striped Mittens by Knit Simple (although obviously these are not striped). All are made from Knit Picks Swish Worsted (superwash merino), with the exception of the pink, which is Lion Brand - Woolease. They are knit on either size 5 or 6's.
