WPlus9 - Monday Mood Board

I just ran across a fun little link-up over at WPlus9's blog, and I decided to give it a go...

Monday Mood Board
WP9 Monday Mood Board 2: Peach, Navy, and Kraft

PLAY ALONG

If you'd like to play along, use the mood board as a starting point for a card, tag, layout or any project...where ever the inspiration takes you! Use at least one Wplus9 product. Then link it up using the InLinkz widget below to share it and keep the inspiration flowing!

Here's my take on the colors:

I had to add a little green.
Materials:
Paper: Misc. Bazzill cardstock, kraft, Neenah - Solar White
Stamps/Inks: Memento - Paris Dusk and Desert Sand, Impress Fresh Ink, Hero Arts Shadow Ink Midtone - Stone Wash, Lawn Fawn - Many Thanks, WPlus 9 - Folk Art Florals and Defining Words
Cutting/Embossing: WPlus9 - Folk Art Florals die
Misc.: Dimensional Adhesive, jewel embellishments, twine from The Twinery

And a little knitting...

Pattern: Chickadee Cowl
Yarn: Misti Alpaca Chunky Handpainted
Needle: Size 11 circular
In retrospect, I'd use a larger size needle to show off the yarn a bit more, but it will make a nice gaiter for next winter!

Update

The early part of February was rotten for me, so I haven't updated here in a bit. Having rounded that corner, I look forward to more regular posting.... and I haven't been completely idle - just a little quiet on the blog as life has calmed down and slowly returned to a more normal level of busy-ness.

Some knitting...

This is for the MD who finally figured me out - and took care of me, staying late on Valentine's Day and ending two weeks of unpleasantness! Hopefully she will enjoy it - it was a fun knit, and I want more kits and more colors, because I am a little sad to give it away, because I like it A LOT. Will need to get started on one for myself, soon.

Pattern: Malabrigo Linen Stitch Scarf
Yarn: Malabrigo Worsted (kit from The Yarnery)
Needle: Size 11 circular

And a card...

(Inspired by the last few days of the Online CAS II Card class that I took - and was unable to finish until now).

Materials:
Paper: Neenah - Solar White, misc. Bazzill cardstock
Stamps/Inks: Colorbox - Frost White, Memento - Paris Dusk - Technique Tuesday - Happyville - Balloon
Cutting/Embossing: Cuttlebug embossing folder, Spellbinder's Nestabilities - Standard Circles, Memory Box - Cloud dies
Misc. Dimensional adhesive, jewel embellishments

And some pretty flowers that I received last week...

(Photo taken so J. can see what the florist put together for me - thank you so much, they are beautiful and still looking good, a week later!)

Day 4: Clean and Simple 2

Day 4...

Technique: Your assignment is to “embrace the space”—white space, that is!  Create a card that uses white or negative space to make your primary design elements pop!

I could not get the memento to pull with water in the stamped images - which it actually surprised me that it did in the video, because I know that it dries quickly. So, I picked up color from the top of the ink pad's lid.

Materials:
Paper: Hero Hues Watercolor Paper
Stamps/Inks: Memento - Paris Dusk, Tsukineko - Delicata Gold, Hero Arts - Pattern Hearts and Flowers, Just Rite Clear - Large Fancy Sentiments
