Clean and Simple Day 6

Today's sixth video/class day was fantastic.

I've never been big on flowery embellishments, mostly because I hadn't known how to make any, myself, and I always worry how they will travel in the mail. Today's tutorial was easy and fun, though!

Here's my card... (inside and outside)

Materials
Paper: Misc. bazzill cardstock, DeLovely - Delightful (Cosmo Cricket)
Stamps/Inks: Memento - Cottage Ivy, Hero Arts - Circles background, Paper Smooches - sentiment
Cutting/Embossing: Spellbinder's Nestabilities - standard circles
Misc.: Ribbon from Michael's

And a little knitting...
(That I finally finished and blocked this weekend).

Fiddlehead mittens (Cascade 220 and Debbie Bliss Angel). Size 3 needles.
I always have trouble forging through the liners - they are a little tedious, but worth it, because the Angel is so soft.

Clean and Simple Day #5

I didn't really feel like doing day #4, so I've skipped ahead to Day #5. Maybe I'll come back to Day #4 this weekend...
Today's posting was trying a technique that was completely new to me... Watercolor Blocking

Here's my card:

Not bad for a first try - next time, I will try to make sure that my lines are straighter - right now everything is leaning to the lower right corner.
Materials:
Paper: Misc. Bazzill cardstock
Stamps/Inks: Tim Holtz Distress Inks - dusty concord, worn lipstick, fired brick, faded jeans, broken china, festive berries; two unknown brand clear stamps
Cutting/Embossing: Versamark ink pad, stampendous crystal embossing powders
Misc.: Perfect pearls mist, red jewel embellishments
