The Christmas Cards continue...

I'm back up and creating... (not so many days until THE big day and running out of time to get things in the mail)...

This is a card inspired by a card from the Online Card Class gallery by Karolyn Loncon/Paper Therapy. Isn't it beautiful? Anyway, I liked it so much, I decided to CASE/recreate one almost just like it.

Materials:
Paper: Misc. Bazzill cardstock
Stamps/Inks: Stampin' Up white ink, Lawn Fawn - Let it Snow
Cutting/Embossing: Sizzix/Cuttlebug embossing folder, Cookie Cutter circle die, Impression Obsession - Santa Die and Town Scene
Misc.: Jewel embellishment, dimensional adhesive

And some knitting, of course...

Yarn: Paramour by Twisted Fiber Arts (Duchess Self-Striping)

When: The blog hop starts on December 8th at 6 AM, PST. However, you have until December 9th, 11:59 pm PST, to leave comments on all the blogs (to be eligible for a prize)
Why: To be inspired by fun DeNami Design creations and also the chance to win mini shopping sprees on the DeNami Design website!

Prizes: We are giving away THREE $20 gift certificates to our website! We'll be giving away one gift certificate to a random participant (DT members not eligible) and then we'll also be giving away TWO gift certificates to TWO people who comment along the hop!

Here's my card:

Capturing glitter is hard to do in a photo -- but, in case you're wondering, the hearts, stars on the trees, rooftop on the house, and the edge of the snow are all glittered with stickles. The sky was made by blending distress inks, and the Blizzard mist has a little shine to it, mixed in with the opaque white for snow in the sky.  And, the tree die cut and background paper are green glitter.

Materials
Paper: Neenah - Solar white, misc Bazzill cardstock, glitter paper
Stamps/Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black, TH Distress Inks, DeNami - PF63 Christmas Greetings Stamp Set and G155 Small Winter Cottage

Misc.: Copic markers, diamond, gold, and Xmas red stickles, red liquid pearls, Mister Huey's Mists - Blizzard and Opaque white, dimensional adhesive, twine from The Twinery, button

And, just for fun, some more baby knitting? (Which was why, and you'll have to take my word for it - that I have made multiple cards this week, but just didn't get an opportunity to post until t his morning).

Just for the record, this is probably going to be my new favorite baby hat pattern. It was so quick to knit (approx 1.5 hrs - pom pom took a disproportionate amount of time to the knitting) and turned out so well! Looks like a lot of those photo prop hats that you see in the trendy newborn photo shoots.

A couple of Christmas cards

My goal is to do a few cards a day until Christmas (or when they all have to be mailed out), starting with stamp sets/dies that I either have used rarely or never used (unless it's for a challenge or specific stamp company)! I've found that I've become a bit of a stamp hoarder... We'll see if I get all the cards done in time for Christmas! As of right now, I have some finished... but I'm mostly happy that I've got our Christmas photo picked out and ready to be tucked in the envelopes.
