Yes, it sometimes snows in April...
But I wouldn't normally expect almost two feet!
Which makes it a perfect time for crafting...
Today, I decided to tackle a Lawnscaping Challenge!
I was inspired by Lisa Petrella's card:
I like the technique of stamping and having a die cut image over top. And, I love using all of my ink pads.
Here's mine!
Materials:
Paper: Neenah - Solar White, misc. Bazzill cardstock
Stamps/Inks: Lawn Fawn: Plus One, Hero Arts Shadow Inks - Green Hills (Mid-tone), Grape Juice (Mid-tone), Tide Pool (Mid-tone), Red Royal (Mid-tone), Butter Bar (Mid-tone), and Soft Cantaloupe
Cutting/Embossing: Hero Arts - Frame Cutes - Baby Motifs
Misc.: Dimensional adhesive, twine from The Twinery, button
And, a little knitting...
I finished the KPH knit-a-long... here's Ridgely!
Hardest part about this pattern was keeping all the skeins from tangling as knitting (worked with all three simultaneously) - I'm happy with the end result. I will wait and see what next week offers, as far as some crochet edging possibilities, but as crocheting is not my forte, I suspect that this shawlette will be staying as is.
Materials:
Cobasi yarn (3 skeins, but there were leftovers of each)
Needle size - 6

CAS-ual Fridays (CFC98)
It's been a while since I've had time to play with CAS-ual Fridays, but I really liked this week's theme...
Paper: Neenah - Solar White, Lawn Fawn DP
Stamps/Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black, TH Distress Ink - Tumbled Glass, Stamping Bella - Uptown Girl Brigitte the beautiful bride
Cutting/Embossing: Spellbinder's Nestabilities - Standard Circles
Misc.: Diamond stickles, copic markers, dimensional adhesive, ribbon from Michael's
CFC98: Use glitter, stickles, glitter ribbon, etc on your CAS project to make it sparkle.
As always, cards are certainly welcome, but so are layouts, tags, gift items, etc.

I based this card on a sketch from Stamping Bella:
Here's mine:
The stickles are subtle, so I thought I'd get an up close view, as well.

Knit-a-long Part II
Ridgely, part two, flew along, and it was completed in a snowy afternoon...
Here's the photo...
The colors are more true in earlier posts - pardon the not so great photos -- it was still not light out when the pictures were taken.
Looking forward to next week's installment...and I'm out of projects right now... Maybe I will have to find something to fill in, in case today is a snow day?
And, have you all been missing seeing Linen Stitch scarves??
Yes, there is another one...
Malabrigo Linen Stitch Scarf
Size 11 needles
Mix of Malabrigo worsted yarn

Mystery KAL and the finale of the big project...
I'm trying something totally new for me, and I'm pretty excited about it!
Here's the information from Michelle Hunter's blog:
How does the Knit Along (KAL) work?
Here's the start for Ridgely...
1. Beautiful yarn... I can't believe how soft and lovely this yarn is...
2. Week 1:
Gauge close enough on 6's. I was grateful for the video on lifelines - I only needed to use one once, but that's all it really takes for a BIG goof up on a lace projects. And this is a little bit of a slippery yarn.
Photos below:
Looking forward to the next section of the pattern being released tomorrow!
And the finale for my big project! Class at Yarn Harbor was helpful.
Will be moving the buttons around a bit so everything is even on both sides.
