Clean and Simple Day 6

Today's sixth video/class day was fantastic.

I've never been big on flowery embellishments, mostly because I hadn't known how to make any, myself, and I always worry how they will travel in the mail. Today's tutorial was easy and fun, though!

Here's my card... (inside and outside)

Materials
Paper: Misc. bazzill cardstock, DeLovely - Delightful (Cosmo Cricket)
Stamps/Inks: Memento - Cottage Ivy, Hero Arts - Circles background, Paper Smooches - sentiment
Cutting/Embossing: Spellbinder's Nestabilities - standard circles
Misc.: Ribbon from Michael's

And a little knitting...
(That I finally finished and blocked this weekend).

Fiddlehead mittens (Cascade 220 and Debbie Bliss Angel). Size 3 needles.
I always have trouble forging through the liners - they are a little tedious, but worth it, because the Angel is so soft.

Clean and Simple Day #5

I didn't really feel like doing day #4, so I've skipped ahead to Day #5. Maybe I'll come back to Day #4 this weekend...
Today's posting was trying a technique that was completely new to me... Watercolor Blocking

Here's my card:

Not bad for a first try - next time, I will try to make sure that my lines are straighter - right now everything is leaning to the lower right corner.
Materials:
Paper: Misc. Bazzill cardstock
Stamps/Inks: Tim Holtz Distress Inks - dusty concord, worn lipstick, fired brick, faded jeans, broken china, festive berries; two unknown brand clear stamps
Cutting/Embossing: Versamark ink pad, stampendous crystal embossing powders
Misc.: Perfect pearls mist, red jewel embellishments

Clean and Simple Day #3

Today's theme is...

Tone-On-Tone Dimensional Cards

I've never tried one of these before, so it was fun. I'm putting on my wishlist a lot of those cute, new Memory Box dies. They are so pretty! I had some Tim Holtz Movers and Shaper dies, so I used those, instead.

Here's mine...

Materials:
Paper: Misc. Bazzill cardstock
Stamps/Inks: Memento - Rhubarb Stalk, unknown Valentine clear set - possibly Fiskars?
Cutting/Embossing: Tim Holtz - Movers and Shapers - Hearts
Misc.: Perfect Pearls Mist, Smooch Spritz - Cherry Ice

Some Thank You Notes

Still no challenges for 2012, because I'm getting caught up on obligations for an upcoming baby shower and writing (and making) my thank you notes from Christmas.

Here are some thank you notes that were extremely simple to make... (one layer)

Ugh. Not the best photos. Haven't set up the new light tent, yet! Maybe later this week.

Stamps/Inks: Memento - Paris Dusk, Cottage Ivy, Bamboo Leaves. Stampin' Up - Delicate Doilies, Lawn Fawn - Many Thanks
