Day 5 (Repeated):
Today's technique was Paper Manipulation. I decided to try the quilted look and shading on patterned paper technique.
Materials:
Paper: Neenah - Solar White, misc. Bazzill cardstock, Vellum, Patterned Paper -- Lawn Fawn - Bright Side, Lily Bee Design - Victoria Park, and Simple Stories - Snap Color Vibe
Stamps/Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black and Love Letter, Hero Arts - CL662 - New Baby, Lawn Fawn - Plus One
Cutting/Embossing: Hero Arts corresponding die for New Baby, Spellbinder's Nestabilities - Standard Circles
Misc.: Copic markers, dimensional adhesive, glossy accents
And, being that it was a holiday weekend, there were a lot of extra little projects going on this weekend...
I decided to get organized and label my ink pads and blending tools. Here's a photo...
One of my pet peeves was not being able to see what color ink pads the distress inks were without pulling them off the shelf. Problem solved. I also labeled my blending tools. I'm still considering whether or not I should label the Memento pads - I think that I can see the colors well enough for now, because they're a rectangular pad, not square like the TH Distress inks.
Some felt flower clips for little ones (courtesy of Jennifer McGuire):
Materials:
TH Distress die - Tattered Flowers
Hobby Lobby Felt
Hot glue gun
Misc. Buttons
Clips from Target
A baby sweater that is ready for finishing -- for the upcoming YH steeking course...
Pattern: Sirdal
Needles: 1 and 0
Yarn: Baby Ull (green and white)
Size: 1 Yr
And some cooking for Easter that was quite well received....
She needs some more hair for clips.
Happy Easter!!
