MFT Superstar Challenge - Finale
Well, here's my last entry into the MFT superstar challenge. This one is for the innovative category, and, frankly it almost did me in. Between a glitter mishap and my entire container of LED bulbs getting kicked over by my four year old, I had serious doubts over whether this was even going to work.
Here it is, my light up shaker card....
I didn't have chibitronic stickers, so I used a CO-RODE LED kit I bought on Amazon a while ago...and I discovered during the glitter incident that the light wasn't bright enough to shine through my (of course, already colored) Neenah paper, so the light had to go into the shaker window, itself.
Here's a photo of it lit up, when I couldn't get it to turn off....
Need I say more?! Anyway, now it shakes consistently and turns on only when I push the Merry Christmas base of the snow globe. DONE.
Materials
Paper: Neenah- Solar white, misc. Bazzill cardstock
Stamps/Inks: Mft - Extreme black and Snow Globe Sentiments
Cutting/Embossing: Mft - Scenic Snow Globe and Stitched Dome Stax
Misc: 3M foam tape, misc. Martha Stewart glitter, CO-RODE kit, copper foil tape, copic markers

MFT Superstar Challenge
Here's my entry for the MFT Card Design Superstar Coloring Virtuoso challenge!
This was actually a super hot mess when I started, and I was sure that I had destroyed the bristol cardstock with all the water. Lots of dabbing with a paper towel smoothed the colors and evened things out. I used zig watercolors for the bear and background. The bear was touched up with prismacolor pencils.
Some blueprint sketch distress ink for some blending along the edges, as well as some mists to add sparkle and snow...
Materials:
Paper: MB notecard, bristol paper
Stamps and Inks: Inkon3 Fadeout ink, MFT - polar bear pals and hand lettered holiday, versamark, Distress ink - blueprint sketch
Cutting/embossing: Ranger superfine gold embossing powder
Misc: Zig markers, mister huey's opaque white spray, perfect pearls heirloom gold spray, prismacolor pencils

PSC #48 Anything Goes
I was determined to participate in this month's Poppy Stamps challenge, because I bought some fun new dies (the whittles - still waiting on a couple to arrive, I guess they were delayed a bit in production), and I've been having so much fun playing with transfer gel with stencils and foil! And, with a theme like, "Anything Goes," there's really no excuse NOT to play! Here's the link back to the challenge post, and here's what I came up with....
A little close up of the foil and inking - so much detail on the whittles!
Materials:
Paper: Neenah - Solar white, silver foil paper, misc. Bazzill cardstock, Bayou memory box notecard
Stamps/Inks: Brushed Corduroy distress ink
Cutting/Embossing: Poppy Stamps - Whittle Deer and Open Hillside dies, Penny Black - Exultations die, Newton's Nook - Frames and Flags die set
Misc.: Deco foil, Foil transfer gel, dimensional adhesive, SSS - Falling Snow Stencil

Newton's Nook - Inky Paws Challenge
In Newton's Nook's most recent blog hop, one of my comments from their blog hop was drawn to receive a new stamp set. Super fun and so easy to comment (and fun to see what their talented designers come up with)... and I just purchased the coordinating dies to match using a discount from their Labor Day sale, so no more fussy cutting these little bunnies!
This week's Inky Paws Challenge is a sketch challenge....
And this is my take on it...
My 4 yo and I love to foil, and we have some backgrounds that we've made together that I'm just keeping a stash of for quick cards, so this came together super fast. We're doing SEVENTEEN more this afternoon - we make a lot at a time. The white patterned background paper was made using purple ink and the filler stamps in the Hoppy Halloween set.
Materials:
Paper: Neenah - Solar white, misc. Bazzill cardstock
Stamps/Inks: Purple ink cube from HA, Gina K - Amalgam Ink, Newton's Nook - Hoppy Halloween
Cutting/Embossing: Spellbinders Nestabilities- standard circles, SSS - stitched circles
Misc: Copic markers, dimensional adhesive, decofoil transfer gel, deco foil purple foil, Newton's Nook - Flying Bats Stencil

Fun with Wreath Builders
Here are a couple more cards that Tabby and I made together using Gina K Designs' wreath builder stencil and the most recently released Holiday wreath builder. We used a variety of ink cubes (Gina K, Altenew, Hero Arts, Reverse Confetti) and Gina K's pure luxury white cardstock. It's so handy that Gina K even sells the paper pre-cut to fit the stencil. I especially like that if you goof (heaven forbid...), the paper is thick enough that it can be just flipped over, without any ink bleeding through, for a second try.
