DeNami Blog Hop - Bright, Bold, and Beautiful

Welcome blog hoppers, you've reached the DeNami Blog Hop for the month of August...

You should have arrived from the lovely blog of the talented Dana Seymour.

Here are the details of the 'hop....

When: The blog hop starts on August 12th at 6 AM, PST. However, you have until August 13, 2012, 11:59 pm PST, to leave comments on all the blogs (to be eligible for a prize). Why: To be inspired by fun DeNami Design creations and also the chance to win mini shopping sprees on the DeNami Design website!

Prizes: We are giving away THREE $20 gift certificates to our website! We'll be giving away one gift certificate to a random participant (DT members not eligible) and then we'll also be giving away TWO gift certificates to TWO people who comment along the hop!

Here is my contribution...in honor of the final day of the Olympics today...

I didn't have a plain chickie to put on my Olympic podiums, so I blocked out the butterfly and net on the Chickie and Butterflies stamp, but, if interested, either of these two DeNami stamps would have saved some work -- B90 Chickie or A103 Barnyard Chick.

Here's a link to the "stamping/coloring on glitter" technique that I used to make the rings.

Materials:
Paper: Misc. Bazzill cardstock, Neenah - Solar White
Stamps/Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black and Gray Flannel, Versamark, DeNami - Chickie and Butterflies, Large Dot Swirls, All Star Greetings Stamp Set
Cutting/Embossing: Gold Embossing Powder, Spellbinder's Nestabilities - Standard Circles and Rectangles, Cookie Cutter - Square Die
Misc.: Random markers to color on top of glitter, Copic markers, jewel embellishments, Stickles, Glitter Ritz (Microfine) - Transparent, cool highlights, dimensional adhesive

Thank you for stopping by (don't forget to comment for a chance to win a prize)...and you are off to Barb's blog, where something truly fantastic awaits your viewing pleasure!

Hero Arts August Scramble

I had so much fun last time, I decided to participate again in Hero Art's 90 minute scramble.

This was the challenge - hosted by Emily Leiphart:

Today’s challenge involves creative sentiments and you have a few options!
(1) mix and match two or more different sentiments to create a new one
(2) use part of an existing sentiment
(3) use an alphabet set to create your own sentiment

And, here's how the scramble works:
You have 90 minutes to make a card and upload it to your photostream. Tag it with 'quickcard45'
Please use at least one Hero Arts Stamp
Please add the picture of your card to the flickr thread - here's how: copy the URL of the card in your Flickr photostream and paste it between the square brackets [URL of your card here].
Add it to the Hero Arts group so everyone can see it.

Here's my card... created, photographed, and posted within 90 minutes to the Hero Arts flickr group.
