Holiday Card Class Day 4

I finally got around to getting back to Day #4 over at the Online Card Class Holiday Card Workshop.

Day #4: Cards with Outline Stamps

Technique #1: Coloring with Distress Inks

Didn't care for this technique - would have been faster and less messy for me to color with copics -- and I think it would have turned out better. I can't even imagine making 100 cards -- maybe would have been better with a different stamp!

CAS-ual Friday's Part II

I don't usually participate in the same challenges twice, but I was SO inspired by a new technique (new to me, anyway), that I decided to play again in CAS-ual Fridays challenge this week.

Here's the card:

Here's a link to the technique that I tried... and loved... I basically followed her directions exactly - although I don't think I would have been able to get multiple stamped sheets of paper from one inked up block. The key was to really make sure it was wet enough on the block after applying the ink and make sure to tilt it and get the colors to run all over the place well before stamping.

Materials:
Paper: Misc. Bazzill cardstock, Neenah - Solar White, Watercolor paper
Stamps/Inks: Memento - Paris Dusk, Colorbox: Pigment Ink Paintbox (Brights) , Paper Smooches - Word Salad, Inkadinkadoo - Circle and Dots
Misc.: Tim Holtz distressing tool, dimensional adhesive, Smooch Spritz - Gold
