MFT Summer School: Focal Point

The last assignment for MFT Summer School! Final challenge.... Focal Point. The challenge in this was finding a good image to make the focus of the cardfront.

Close up of my first attempt of no-line coloring. The fadeout ink really made it pretty simple! I used a combination of zig clean color markers and arteza markers to color the bear.

MFT Summer School: Visual Triangle

Four down, one to go.... this card was designed with the MFT Summer School Visual Triangle challenge in mind. The triangle is the moose, snowman, and sentiment.

I had some fun coloring the moose with copics and doing some ink smooshing with watercolors and sheer shimmer mist for a fun background... hopefully giving the impression that the moose is looking out at a snowy scene.

MFT Summer School: Monochromatic

I had a couple of hours this morning to work, and it's been a bit dreary, so I decided to start on some holiday cards - still early, but fun to get some older stamp sets out and play a bit. This card's theme is for the MFT Summer School Monochromatic Challenge.

MFT Summer School: Rainbow

And I'm still plugging away... this card's theme fits the Rainbow assignment over at MFT's Summer School challenge. I don't do a lot of rainbow cards, so this one was a challenge, but I LOVE these monsters. I originally bought them for Halloween and Valentine's cards, but they are good for any number of themes and so easy to line up.

MFT Summer School 2018: Ombre

It's another round of MFT Summer School. And, as before, I'm procrastinating, but having so much fun! This card's particular theme fits the Ombre assignment. I used the watercolor ombre background technique from a class that I took at Junkiefest.

I have been enjoying the Sarcasti-chicks from Taylored Expressions, and I just love their little snarky sentimets. This was a card that I made showcasing a new to me set from Kitchen Sink Stamps and the Sarcasti-chicks. First Halloween card of this year...

Inky Paws Challenge

Newton's Nook piqued my interest after Junkiefest, so I decided to take advantage of a coupon code and make an order. I found that their Paradise Palms worked really well with some watery-themed stamps that I already had. Plus, I find the size of the scalloped border die in Frames & Flags set to be the perfect size for a card front. Here's what I came up with - some cards that I put together as a set for my lovely cousin's birthday. I kept them one-layer and simple to mail :).

Now I'm ready to plan my own tropical vacation!

I used KSS's rolling hills, but made them into water - too fun!
