MFT Stamping Biathlon

More Olympics... can you get enough? I wish I had more time to actually watch them on TV. This challenge was the hardest. Here's the link to check out the details.

Here's my card. I decided to use these two techniques: Masking and a Unique Fold (Easel Fold/Easel Card)

Here it is - sitting upright...

Materials:
Stamps/Inks: MFT - Black Licorice, MFT- Bitty Bears and Polar Bear Pals
Cutting/Embossing: none

Misc.: Dimensional Adhesive, Glossy Accents, Wink of Stella, masking paper, copic markers, white gelly roll pen

Speed Cardmaking

More Olympics...love My Favorite Things products, and they come up with some innovative challenges. And this is my kind of challenge, because chasing kids leaves me very little time to craft... every card is a speed challenge! Here's the link to check out the challenge. Cards have to be created using MFT products (with the exception of ink and plain cardstock) and created, start to finish, in under 20 minutes.

Here's mine. It took me 18:58 minutes to finish it. I would have been faster, but the sentiment inside slowed me down - I stamped it too high, so it showed through the window - so quick had to tear it off and start over.

Here's the inside...

Materials:
Paper: Memory Box notecard, Neenah - Solar white
Stamps/Inks: MFT - Black Licorice, Versamark, MFT - Snow Globe Sentiments, Ski-sons Greetings
Cutting/Embossing: MFT - Peek-a-boo Wonky windows, coording Ski-sons Greetings dies, Ranger superfine opaque white embossing powder
Misc.: Copic markers, dimensional adhesive

Poppy Stamps - PSC40

When it's subzero, it's crafting weather, and the themes between Memory Box and PoppyStamps are just two similar to not make a second card...
Poppystamp's challenge was to create a card with the theme, "Snow Day." Here's what I came up with... (Incidentally, this also works with the Daily Marker's coloring challenge!)

Materials
Stamps/Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black,  Poppystamps - Snow One Like You
Cutting/Embossing: Poppystamps - Snow One Like You coordinating dies, Snowflake Breeze craft die, and I think the pine tree border is also Poppystamps - but I'm not sure - let me know if you do know!
Misc: Copic markers, dimensional adhesive, stardust stickles
Paper: Misc. Bazzill cardstock

Memory Box Challenge

It's been a little quiet on the blog- lots of Christmas card making, knitting, and teaching tag/giftwrapping classes... but no time to post. Maybe I'll catch up on that later.

But, due to to the frigid temperatures here in MN, it's only appropriate to participate in this month's challenge at Memory Box. The theme is: Snow and Winter.

The snowman heart collage die is just beautiful - I also have the snowman collage craft die, which is somewhat similar. Love snowmen! Anyway, this card was not terribly hard to duplicate, so I made a bunch for some post-holiday thank you notes. It would be very simple to change the sentiment and make these into Valentine's cards, as well!

Materials:
Stamps/Inks: Memento - Tuxedo Black, TH Distress Oxide inks (soot, worn lipstick, twisted citron, wilted violet, tumbled glass), Darcie's Stamps - Thanks
Cutting/Embossing: Memory Box - Snowman Heart collage, Newton's Nook - Frames and Flags die set
Paper: Memory Box cranberry notecards, Neenah - solar white, misc. Bazzill cardstock, watercolor paper, Swirl DP from Impress
Misc: Black nuvo drops and Crystal clear nuvo accents, sheer glimmer mist and gold spray
